Extension vs Desktop
The Spark Extension and the Spark Desktop App share the same DNA - same filter engine, same goal of cutting noise from launchpad feeds. They target different workflows, though, and which one fits you depends on what you trade and how.
TL;DR
| Use the Extension if you... | Use the Desktop App if you... |
|---|---|
| Trade mostly on Axiom | Trade across multiple platforms |
| Want a free, two-click setup | Want maximum filter depth |
| Just want a smarter Pulse feed | Want a full trading workstation |

Starting with the Extension
The extension is the lowest-friction entry point into the Spark ecosystem. If you're new to Spark:
- Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store - two clicks.
- Use it for a few days. See whether the filter signal matches the way you trade.
- If you want more - more platforms, more filters, terminal integration - read the Getting Started guide for the desktop app.
You don't lose anything by trying the extension first. Settings are independent, no migration needed.
